Wild things, an under 5’s outdoor play and exploration group, for parents, carers and little ones – is taking place again in the beautiful Alice Park Community Garden! We will be exploring this piece of paradise through digging and dipping, natural crafts, singing and story-telling and some cooking over a fire. There will always be a new activity or craft on offer each week, a sensory play area and child or parent led exploration of the many interesting sights and smells.
This is a chance to be outside and explore our connection to nature going into the autumn season. It is a great time for outdoor crafts and play and there will always be a hot drink to meet you as the days get cooler. The benefits of time spent outside are many and include clearer heads, better health, a feeling of peace and a rich variety of play opportunities in a garden setting. We all do well in nature.
I have been working in environmental education and nature connection for six years in many settings, and have a deep passion for this work. I have Paediatric first aid and Play Leader Level 3, and the garden is a well contained space for play.
Wild Things sessions will run every Friday morning 10am-11.30am from 30th September until November 18th, as people may not be so keen to come out in the depths of December, but if they are, we can continue! The first two sessions are FREE TASTERS, on the 30th of September and the 7th of October and after that booking will open for the six week block at £5 per session. There will always be tea and coffee to drink and there is a shelter.
Contact me on firstname.lastname@example.org to book, or 07904 733482. Concessions available if needed.
With best wishes,
