Can you help?  Drop-ins are informal, sociable work sessions where seasonal tasks that keep the garden beautiful and productive are done. We rely on volunteer help to sow seeds, weed, nurture and harvest the food plants that we grow. Little or no growing experience is needed, as these sessions are supervised by experienced gardener(s). Tools and gloves provided. All welcome. Children must bring their own responsible adult.

We occasionally need motivated people to help with independent tasks like grass cutting and watering too.

Gardening not your thing?

We welcome people with many different skills, not just gardeners, such as event organisation, publicity, art and design, musical skills, crafts, wildlife surveys and conservation,  photography, video, financial knowledge, fundraising, accountancy, leafleting, office skills and construction skills.

What about shopping?

You can support your local Community Garden by shopping in your local Co-op shop.
Alice Park Community Garden has been selected for a grant from the Co op Supermarket to improve the oak barn shelter for all those events and activities come rain or shine.BUTSupport from you will help us raise as much as we can this year until Oct. If you become a member and select us as your chosen project we receive a contribution each time you shop!
